EMERALD · TERMS OF SERVICE
Effective 19 October 2026.
These terms govern use of the Emerald bot, dashboard and supported game interfaces. Read them alongside the Privacy Policy and the rules of the Discord server where you use Emerald.
1. Scope and eligibility
Emerald is operated by its bot owner, referred to here as the operator. You must satisfy Discord’s minimum age, applicable local requirements and any necessary authority to use the Service. If you do not agree to these terms, stop using Emerald. A server manager can remove the bot if authorized.
Emerald is an independent application. Discord and external games/services have their own terms, including Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. These terms do not replace them.
3. Features and automation
Emerald provides optional activity rewards, invites, role automation, moderation, community messages, suggestions, giveaways, identifiers and games. Availability depends on the current plan, enabled configuration, Discord permissions, platform limits and external dependencies.
Saving a configuration authorizes the supported actions it describes. Scheduled messages can publish later; role rules can assign or remove access; jail and temporary-room actions can restrict or disconnect members. Review the destination, role hierarchy, timezone, recurrence and mention behavior before enabling an action. Cancelling a job does not undo Discord changes already completed.
Examples in the handbook explain typical behavior. Live dashboard validation, server configuration and Discord’s enforced permissions determine what can actually run.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, deceive or expose another person’s private information.
- Do not publish unlawful content, distribute malware, steal credentials or facilitate prohibited gambling or fraud.
- Do not manipulate engagement, evade moderation or Discord safety controls, bypass rate limits or disrupt the Service.
- Do not attempt unauthorized access to another server, account, module, database or private record.
- Do not submit sensitive personal information or credentials through confessions, suggestions, embeds, game-ID fields or other public content.
- Use only images, content and webhooks that you have permission to use.
The operator may investigate reports and restrict misuse. Server managers remain responsible for their local rules and moderation decisions.
5. Content and permissions
You retain the rights you hold in content you submit. You authorize Emerald to process, store, adapt to supported formats and transmit that content as needed to provide the feature you requested. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content to the operator.
Published messages, highlights, suggestions and results are visible to their configured audience. Confession anonymity has moderation/audit limits. External image/webhook destinations have their own terms and handling. The operator may remove or restrict content where necessary to protect users, operate the Service or comply with applicable obligations.
Emerald’s name, software and other material remain subject to their owners’ rights and any applicable licenses. Use of a third-party platform, game or asset does not imply endorsement by its owner.
6. Moderation, games and prizes
Server managers choose eligibility, reward and moderation rules and must communicate them to members. Bot output can be incomplete when permissions, attribution or external lookups are unavailable. Review important decisions using the available evidence and logs rather than assuming every metric is conclusive.
Giveaway/event hosts are responsible for lawful eligibility rules, fair administration, prize descriptions, delivery and any required notices. A recorded win or claim is not proof that a prize has been delivered. Emerald and Discord do not become the prize sponsor merely by providing the interface.
Birthday submission is optional and server-specific. Hiding a date on profiles does not stop configured public wishes or birthday roles. A server administrator must remove the submission to stop future participation.
8. Availability and reliability
The Service is provided as available, to the extent permitted by applicable law. No uninterrupted availability, fixed response time, error-free operation or permanent preservation of every record is promised. Discord rate limits, maintenance, network failures, hosting capacity, external lookups and client support can affect completion.
A request timeout can occur after an action was saved or published. Verify its result before repeating a message send, giveaway creation or other action that could duplicate an outcome. Keep appropriate configuration backups where the feature supports them.
9. Stopping use and restrictions
You can stop using optional features and sign out. Authorized server managers can disable a module or remove Emerald. The operator may suspend or limit access when reasonably needed to address abuse, security, platform enforcement or service operation, and should provide an explanation where appropriate and lawful.
Disabling the bot does not automatically delete every database record, published message or backup. Personal-data requests follow the Privacy Policy request process. Local server moderation appeals should go to that server’s managers.
10. Rights and responsibility
Use the Service with reasonable care and within the permissions you hold. To the extent allowed by applicable law, the operator does not guarantee that third-party services, member submissions or automated outputs will always be accurate or suitable for a particular purpose.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability, warranty, remedy or consumer/privacy right that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited. No specific court, governing jurisdiction or mandatory arbitration arrangement is created by this page.
11. Changes, reports and contact
Updated terms are published here with a revised effective date. Significant service or contractual changes should be communicated through an appropriate notice when practicable. Review the current terms when enabling new features or entering a separate Premium arrangement.
For privacy requests, security reports, service questions or complaints, contact the Emerald operator on Discord. General support is also available in the support server.
For a useful report, include the affected feature and relevant account/server identifiers. Keep secrets and private member records out of public channels.
